Follow the N2 to Great Brak River. Take the Great Brak River Turn off. Drive through Great Brak River, until the 3rd stop sign. Turn left into Amy Searle street (white church on corner). Stay on this road for approx 12 km. Driving through Green Haven residential area and farm areas. You will see our sign on right hand. Turn left and follow the gravel road. We are situated on your right. Please ring the bell at reception/ Call us if the gate is closed.

Things to do in the area?

ANSWERS TO COMMON QUESTIONS

Are you open for day visitors?
We are not generally open for day visitors. If you would like to book a farmer’s game drive – please inquire at least 48 hours in advance.
How far to the nearest beach?
15 min drive to Suiderkruis beach, Great Brak River. Popular beach Glentana (20 min), Hartenbos (25 min), Herold’s bay / Victoria Bay (40 min)
Restaurant on site ?
No. We offer fully equipped self catering cottages (with kitchen, dining and lounge). If you booked the overnight room (en-suite double room) there is no kitchen or dining area. Restaurants are only 15 min drive away. If checking in after 18:00 or on a Sunday or Monday afternoon, we strongly advise you to enjoy dinner at a restaurant / buy your necessities in Mossel Bay or George before heading to the farm.
Nearest airport?
George Airport is only 40 min drive away
Do I need a 4x4 vehicle?
No. You do need to travel gravel road of approx. 2 km. A low profile sports car will not be able to reach the cottages.
Are there any activities onsite?
Advance reservations are essential, please inquire before your check-in date. We offer a farmer’s game drive, subject to availability and weather. Free activities include walking, bass fishing (own equipment) picking your own vegetables, cycling (own bicycle)
Do all cottages have a private under roof braai area?
Only cottage 3 has an under roof built in braai area. The other two cottages share the rustic under roof braai area… but we have a basic portable braai next to each cottage, if preferred.
Nearest grocery shop?
In Great Brak River, 15 min drive away. Pick and Pay or Spar
Does the cottages on the farm have DSTV?
No, they do not have any TV. We would like you to unplug and enjoy a holistic rest and spend quality time with loved ones. Sportslovers can watch rugby matches at DE DEKKE restaurant on big screen. Only 15min drive away. The Beach House Apartment has full DSTV, but no WIFI.
Do you supply bedding and other basics?
Yes we do. Bedding and towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels. In the fully equipped units we supply all the basics that you will need, even an iron.
